I'm Adam Myatt, aka The Cat Man of West Oakland! Before cats took over my life, I spent over ten years writing music, recording bands, and working in various recording studios throughout the Bay Area, pretty much always in the audio program, Pro Tools. AFTER cats took over my life, I never stopped making music personally, but in 2021 I got back into the audio production world when I started working as part of the Post-Production Audio team at Roast N' Post, a Micro-Roastery and Color & Sound Studio in Oakland, CA. Hand me down RECORDING
This is my personal recording studio and mixing space in East Oakland, CA. It's great for tracking a band, overdubbing, working with singer/songwriters, and mixing. Seeing as I've had a severe case of 'Gear Acquisition Syndrome' for over 20 years, the space is filled to the gills with stuff sourced from years of scouring craigslist, pawn shops, and flea markets, or acquired in some kind of trade or hand-me-down fashion, hence the studio name! It also has the world's oddest sound diffuser... which is a collection of over 420 plush Garfield's!
